PANIIT alumni India is the collective body of alumni from all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across India. It engages itself in Nation building, Policy advocacy to the government, in providing Networking opportunities to the IIT Community, Enhancing the IIT brand and in creating global Industry linkages using its Alumni.

In December 2006, PANIIT Global conference was held in Mumbai, India with over 5000 IIT alumni coming together for the event. PAN IIT conference successfully is inspiring, involving IIT Alumni towards Nation building and Bharat transformation. The following six streams wereidentified as areas of intervention in Nation building:-

• Knowledge Economy

• Poverty alleviation

• Entrepreneurship

• Decentralized Services

• Technology for Nation Building

• Accountable Governance
